My N2O smells really bad when it's vented - the refilling stations say it has sulphur dioxide in it.

This is a drugs forum thread that covers popular info about N2O:

http://www.drugs-forum.co.uk/forum/s...ad.php?t=37017

Some states have laws about it or against it - especially New Jersey.

Cliff notes:

"Automotive grade nitrous oxide

Automotive grade nitrous oxide is used in car racing. To discourage recreational use of this type of nitrous oxide, it is mixed with sulphur dioxide, which is very unpleasant to inhale and can be harmful to the lungs. Automotive grade nitrous oxide should not be inhaled."

Guess this is why my gas stinks! lol...

All automotive grade nitrous oxide has sulphur added to it. If you do not smell it, then you probably didn't let it leak out enough in a non ventilated area.

One hot summer day, I got my bottle filled up with a pump at the local shop. The pressure was too high for me to spray since the bottle was too hot. So I cracked the hose fitting and let it seep out a little bit to lower the bottle pressure. Yes, I smelled it. In fact, it made me a little nauseous.

Added some photo's of the gauge, can't see it at all with the vent's down in the daytime, even at night it's pretty secret and if I wanted to I could kill the lights since it has seperate illumination power (And can choose between white and orange).

And yes I know it's crooked, notice that 1050 is clocked straight-up, racer's trick to allow you to very easily tell if anything is out of the ordinary with a quick glance, I always set my gauges up like that, I've always been go before show.

That's cool! I've seen people do shift lights inside vents but not a gauge.

Good job!

The gauge does look a little crooked though.
