Looking to shorten my nitrous feed line

Ok I am pretty sure someone has been this or has some info about it. My current nitrous line is 16ft and I am looking to cut it to 10-12ft in my truck and 8-10ft in my car

Can I just cut the line and recrimp a fitting on there or should I take it to a speedshop. I alittle worried about doing it myself due the the psi the hose is under and was going to call nx, dynotune and the local speedshop I deal with

hopefully nx or dynotune already makes one or would make custom lines for the same price or less

I start do some research and making calls tomorrow

ok so it looks like zex and dynotune do not offer anything shorter than the standard 15-16ft

nx offers 10 and 12ft for like 65bucks so it maybe easier to just buy that, I'll call the speedshop tomorrow

See what NX has for a -6AN line - it flows much better than a -4AN pinhole line.

I use the new 3-layer plastic "race hose" from NX....

Oh? I don't remember the exact length I bought, but it goes from the master cylinder through the firewall down the trough on the driver's side back under the rear seat upright section back to the rear of the trunk and curves around to the Y connector for the dual bottles. Plenty long - and almost identical to the old -4AN soda-straw line that's still in place. It's gotta be longer than 12 ft...

Did you try blowing through your -4AN line? Anything over a 75-shot has gotta be choked off in that line - it's teeny inside.

???

OK, I just looked at the NX on-line catalog, and they sell all lengths of D-6 race hose from 1 ft to 20 ft, like 10ft, 12ft, 14ft, 16ft and 20ft. There should be something there for you....

Take your 16' hose to a hydraulic hose shop. They will be able to cut it and crimp a new fitting on there. I got them to go ahead and crimp another fitting on the excess hose to make a second hose that I use to transfer nitrous from bottle to bottle.
