Hooked up my EGT and FP..

Just wanted to know, what numbers are they suppose to read at?

My EGT seems to read at around 700-1000 degrees during idle (after driving for about 10mins) and 12-1400 when accelerating.
The fuel pressure is around 40psi idle, 30 when I gas alittle (vaccum mode). Forgot the number when I boost..

The shop where I had the EGT probe welded used a brasing to weld it.. Dunno if it's a strong weld..

Anyhow, are my numbers off?...

so you are getting 350 - 530 celcius during idle and 760 celcius at peak. that's about right to me. my EGT probe is not welded...it is tapped. I think you are ok.

not sure about FP....I dun have one

Another question, how did everyone install your probe? Welded, tapped?

[maxi-overdose],
How did you tap yours? Drilled a hole and screwed in?

My shop had trouble welding it b/c the fitting was brass and my pipe was steal..
And I think it's leaking right now..

My idle temp is about 380C at 650rpm.

Peak EGT today against my friends TT Supra... 700C up to about 105mph... I'm running a little rich, me thinks!

yup..Kevin drilled a hole and he tapped in the housing for the probe and then he inserted the probe into the housing.

Drilled a hoel and welded the fitting into the Y pipe where the two down pipes meet.

N/A readings no juice, no boost
Cruising speed 800F and at WOT around 1050 to 1100F.

What type of material did you use to weld it??
Do you have a steel or aluminum fitting?

Did you mean to say fuel pressure is 30 psi at idle and goes up to 40 when you give it some gas? I sure hope so ...

The autometer gauge I bought included a steel "bung" which can be welded into the Y pipe.

It included hardware to clamp the probe to the pipe and the hardware to weld the bung into the pipe.
