Does anything else need to accompany a smaller pulley??

hi all,

is there anything else that needs to go in with a 3.125 pulley???
like colder plugs etc.etc. any help would be appreciated.

i have one step colder copper plugs right now gapped to abot .34 will i be ok??
and a walbao 255 high flow fp left over from my nitrous kit. am i pretty much good to go thanks oh yeah car will go back in later today. like around 10am so need help fast..


and i already have the save a tranny fund ready to go so im not worried about the trans.

You may want to have the 8:1 FMU disc handy if you don't already have it. If you hear detonation on the top end. Slap it in.

what do i listen for to hear detonation.

make sure the pulley is the same as your old one....read my earlier thread on the troubles that I went thru trying to alignment the belt.


vortech produces pulley differently or QC the pulley is not in their procedure...some are a bit thicker, some are not.

you will hear knocking/pinging from your engine if detonation occurs


8:1 FMU can be found on superchargeronline.com or straight from the source : vortechsupercharger.com

did you read my previous post? make sure u compare the new pulley to the old one....if they are not the same, you have to align the belt by using washers.

I'd just get the kit since it is cheaper in the sense that if you bought any two of the others, it would be the same price.
