got a problem...
here's the problem, i have a vg30et and the wiring harness and ecu for it. i'm putting it in my maxima so the speedometer, tach, etc. harness doesn't work. the only way for me to get that to work at the moment is to use the maxima wiring harness and ecu and get the jwt ecu retune but right now i can't get the jwt retune due to money issues. could i use the stock maxima ecu without the jwt retune but get a vortech fmu to increase the amount of fuel when under boost and be safe from ruining the engine? will this work or am I going to have to worry about more than fuel? the jwt retune i'll definately get but i just can't get it right now whereas the fmu i can and i really need the car to run. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

well the concept won't work; im honestly fuzzy on the compatibility between the ecu and that motor... it shouldn't work.
All that the fmu does it keep the fuel in the fuel rail longer really.... The injector pulse which controls the actual fuel is controlled by the ecu itself, not the fmu. Hope this helps.
from what i understand the turbo ecu has different fuel maps which would supply the fuel differently because of higher horsepower but i'm not sure if that's the only difference. if it is just fuel i'm sure i could compensate with the fmu but i'm not sure how well the engine would run...
