Dissapointed.

Dissapointed.

So everyone knows bout how my auto tranny is dying.... since it began to slip/ stall out... I noticed a grinding sound that's gotten worse...

It sounds like it's grinding, and I can feel it badly in the pedals when at a stop at idle in any gear. If I rev at all or am in neutral or park, the sound goes away. I undid the liner and listened, and it's coming from the crank side of the motor.... in the crank pulley/ ac compressor/ alternator area...

The sound there is comparable to a sc with bad bearings, but it's not the sc...

HELP

Hmm try a 6-speed swap Same p/n on a auto in both cars, maybe you can get a helical 6 speed out of a 2k2 to fit

I feel like calling Dave to see if he can tell me if it could work...

Jeff @ Maximum Tuning is doing the 6spd on his 4thgen swap. He has the tranny in there now. We;ll know in a few days if the 6spd will work with the 3.0 motor

I didn't get a chance... but I did notice something... The car definately quietens down when I turn on the ac... You guys think it's actually the compressor or some component of the ac giving me a problem?... It still blows colddd air, but I think it's AC related.... Anyone have this experience?

It might be the A/C clutch going bad. Anyone can correct me if I am wrong.
