Octane booster? If you're talking about the little bottles you buy at Wal-mart/Autoparts store, you aren't getting more then 3-4 points tops, so if you use 91-octane FOUR "points" would be 91.4-octane.

Don't count on that helping DETONATION. Dump in a gallon or two of 100-octane with your 91-93 pump gas for some REAL points. Also, if you had pre-ignition, you wouldn't be driving it anymore.

Hmmm.

I'll spend some more time this weekend looking for any misalignments/exhaust leaks some more.

Gotta do my brakes anyway - so may as well.

I didn't realize that octane booster stuff was so worthless....guess It's all psychological. I'll keep a better eye on the EGT on the next tank.

ANy other suggesstions on the power loss?
