I'm pretty sure it's 3bar, so ORDER AWAY!!!!!!

That would certainly be at 3.0 bar and proves what I have been saying all along.

This also gives VQ35 owners (AND 3rd gen Eclipse) a cheap/small upgrade path.

I don't *THINK* that's a concern, but I'd still like to get a -K injector sent into RC Engineering to confirm the flow rate.

And IIRC the Maxima VQ35 injectors are FBJC101

And that PROVES what I've been saying all along.

The VQ30DE-K and VQ35DE in the 350z share the same injector and the VQ35DE in the Maxima doesn't.

Yes, the VQ35 Maxima injector is a FBJC101.

Hmmmnnn...makes me wonder why Nissan would downgrade from 295cc->270cc injector for the "255hp" VQ35 in the Maxima, yet raise fuel pressure to compensate. Cheaper probably.

Yes, the VQ35 Maxima injector is a FBJC101.
But you also were trying to claim it ws a 240cc injector which is what i have been disputing all along.

"So, my question is WHAT injectors fit a VQ30DE-K? Also, can someone explain what's the difference between the different Maxima injectors physically? Is there ANYthing similar physically that *might* fit, but offers a higher flow rate?"
No...I was claiming they weren't 240cc, since they are the same injectors used in the 350z, which as you've stated wouldn't make sense for a 287hp car even if it's pushing 3.5bar.

My point from the start is to be able to find a compatible higher flowing injector NOT what our stock injectors flow.

Now we know boosted guys have an alternative to CUSTOM high flow injectors.

What alternative are you talking about? The same injectors they already have? How is that an alternative?

As I stated earlier, one of the best alternatives is the '03 Cobra 39# injectors for a measly $40 each plus the cost of wiring.

The earlier model years were 259cc saturated. So apparently at some point they changed over to the 295cc top feed.

The RC Engineering 370cc and 440cc or the PE 380cc and 510cc.

If you can confirm the '03 Cobra 39# injectors fit/work that's even better.

I think DAVEB recanted that.

He says the latest parts CD had a different part number, so I'm not sure.

Let me get this straight.... The 350Z injector (FBJC100) should be a direct fit for 00-01? If thats so... all the hop-up injectors should fit also no? I heard they have up 550cc for the 350z now??? I'm asking because I know I need injectors badly but I dont know much about how they work or which ones I should get. I have the e-manage and I'd love to do the injector upgrade on it but I have no injectors yet. I'm ready to spend if the injector will fit man... let me know!!

Deac -

Everything I've seen, read, been told, says the 350z and our cars use the same injectors, therefore ANY of the 350z high flow injectors should fit. However, for the RC Engineering injectors, the 350z supposedly requires a pigtail that is additional and must be spliced. I've read Power Enterprises specializes in drop-in injectors that require no modifications, however I've not confirmed that. I've emailed these guys asking that: http://www.rbmotoring.com/sales.html.

The contact I've found for RC Engineering injectors is "ForcedInduction" on the www.350z.com forum. His website is www.SuperchargersOnline.com. His thread here http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthre...light=injector states:

370cc - $79.00 each

RC said these fit pretty tight and they will come with the cushions. You will need to get pigtails for them which run $9.00 each too.
You're PIONEERING here Deac, so lots of this is unknown. I've *READ* the Greddy 350Z runs 440cc with the eManage, but don't know if that's daily driven and streetable. I'm not sure if 370cc/380cc injectors can be controlled by the stock ECU with an adjustable FPR like Mardi did, however 4th gens. *SUPPOSEDLY* run 25Xcc injectors and he successfully ran 370cc injectors with an adjustable FPR for awhile until he went with the JWT ECU.

I'm NOT going to say with confidence, whether the injectors are going to work or not, since I don't know and I don't want to be held responsible, ie blamed. I'd buy ONE injector FIRST to verify everything fits/connects properly if you're still going to be down for awhile, but that's my pessimistic side talking.

I *THINK* I understand how the eManage works with the stock ECU and I'd be hesitant to run any injectors larger then 3XXcc.

Wheres that pic of the 2k-2k1 injector side by side w/the 350z injector? I'm inclined to buy a 440cc 350z injector from RC but I want to see how they look again...

Just got an email back from RB Motoring on the Power Enterprise 380cc 350z injectors!

Dixit, Deac, and I'm sure Kevina...go in on these for $831/set.

List price on the injectors is $180.00 each.
Jobber on that is: $153.90 each.
I'll give you jobber on it. Get your group buy going, and I'll give
you
more off....let's say: $138.51 each.

Why would we go for these at a much higher price than go for the RC 440 cc ones for $80 each? Is there a difference? They should be the same part number/type of injector right?

Yes...*SUPPOSEDLY* the RC Engineering injectors run 4 or so holes in the pintle, where as the PEs run 10 or so like stock or other high quality injectors. More holes means better fuel atomization and I'm assuming this will help idle and fuel distribution for lower base idle fuel pressures.

Another thing is that the RC Engineering injectors require pigtails to be spliced, but the PEs *SUPPOSEDLY* don't. Probably not a big deal for you, since you're splicing for the eManage anyways.

Another *RUMOR* is that the RC Engineering injectors are supposedly rebuilt Lucas injectors and PEs are top quality Denzos like the OEMs typically use. PEs claim "drop in" OEM replacements, while RC Engineerings are a "tight fit", but apparently work.

PEs are very popular in Japan, but RC Engineering injectors get the job done for roughly half the price. Your guys choice. PE does make 510cc injectors, but I'm not sure if the price is different.

I know this is OT but at what fuel pressure levels should somebody be worried about injector lockup?? BTW this is on a DE-K with 3.33 pulley and 8:1 disk untuned.

Nobody knows for sure, since nobody has sent one of our injectors to RC Engineering to be tested.

They can determine that.

Make sure you have them flow the injector(s) at 3.0 bar AND 3.5 bar. We need to sticky this as standard procedure.

3.5 bar would be nice!

Also, they can determine minimum and MAXimum fuel pressures that the injector can handle. These tests would be VERY valueable to know for people running bigger injectors and pushing stock injectors with a FMU:

"...will provide a computer generated print out over varying RPM, pressures, and pulse widths, in color, similar to a dyno test graphic report. This will provide a graphic depiction of min/max Duty Cycle failures and pulse to pulse variances."

AND

"We test injectors in 8 different procedures and at varying pulse widths with pressures ranging from 43.5 PSI for the standard test, up to 100 PSI for leakage and electronic evaluation. If an injector leaks or gets weak at the higher pressures we see this on the oscilloscope and the digital flow meter. If the pattern format starts to defuse, and produce out of range coalescence, the injector is of course discarded. We analyze this with a strobe light and laser beam to measure width and droplet size. If the injector passes the leak test we return to 43.5 P.S.I. and check for minimum response pulse width."

Ask how much those procedures COST and we'll get some people to chip in.

Thanks!

Interesting little tid bit in my Modified MAG mag(great pics!) about the JIC 350Z running an ATI SC.

With only an ATI fuel pump and FPR, the STOCK injectors are supporting 380whp@9psi.

This is all really good stuff... I don't know jack about fuel systems ... one article referenced in a previous post (talks about saturation vs. peak-and-hold) was quite informative; does anyone have some more sites that go into great detail about fuel systems, fuel injection, etc.?
I'm not thinking of boost anytime soon, but I wanna learn

Hello, I am new to this forum and please do not respond that I am in the wrong forum, as you are a forum where I have found some information. I have a 2003 Murano with the VQ35 engine exported from Canada to Europe where I am now. Unfortunately one fuel injector FBJC101 is clogged up, but here in Europe I can not get them. Are there BOSCH injectors that I can use for my engine?

Are you trying to replace just one? If so just go to ebay and youl find them all over.

On Ebay I have not found one single FBJC101 injector. Nevertheless I would like to replace all of them with something from BOSCH, as I can get BOSCH injector here without any problem. UNISIA JECS are very problematic to get in Europe

You can try my350z.com . They may have more info on the 3.5 injectors for you.
