12,000 miles on a V2 blower?

Just got a quick question. Would a V2 blower with 12,000 miles need a rebuild? I know it would probably depend on the condition and all, but just wondering. That seems like a lot of miles. Also, what to watch out for when buying a 12k old used kit? Thanks.

There's quite a few V2's out there with well over 30-40k on them.

You're fine.

If a blower only could last 12,000 miles with no issues then there would be no reason to buy one. I drive 35 to 40,000 a year i would need to rplace my blower 4 times a year!

Rebuild, not replace. IIRC a rebuild costs less than $400. Some people have also gone more than 40k w/o a rebuild.

If a blower is used properly then they should last 100K miles.

Before you install it check the bearing for play ETC.
