Supercharged/Turbocharged The increase in air/fuel pressure above atmospheric pressure in the intake system caused by the action of a supercharger or turbocharger attached to an engine.

Look what finally showed up at my door...

Shows what a PhD in molecular genetics from A&M will get you! A V8!

That's what I find to be truly bizarre. I know a few PhD geneticists and biologists here at UT, and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't know how to change a sparkplug.

Bizarre is one word I've heard used to describe my world...

Same here on the spark plug ineptitudes. I have more fun with the people who work in my lab under me than my colleagues. Most post-docs and docs are pretty mechanically clueless. They feel it is beneath them to mess their hands in an engine bay. They just buy BMW M's and Mercedes Kompressors. You'd be shocked how many stupid SC430's there are around here. Such sad wastes of money.

Scientists are a weird bunch. In the same vein, I know one biochemist that spent $100,000 on a telescope. I like the starts, don't get me wrong.... but sheeeeit.

I'd say gig'em... but I stopped caring a long time ago. No... wait... I never cared...

UT's a great place. I wish they had a better genetic research program. I'd rather live in Austin.
