Reached 800C @140MPH, is that too HOT?
I went to 140mph and my EGT started showing 800C so i let go. 2nd run 130 and got to 800C. On the way back allover sudded it jumed to 830 at like 120-130mph.
When i looked at the fuel pressure it was at 78psi.
I have a didital gauge so the numbers jump up quick, that why I actualy went to 800C. I hope that didnt do any damage. Thank you.
*****PS. I just converted 800C to F and its only 1472 degrees. Isnt the limit 1600?? So i guess Im ok.******

800 is not bad. Tuning is obviously the best way to tell where you are at. Speculating now where you think you are can get dangerous when boosting high levels, i dont speculate, i just dyno tune.

If your not tuned you should not be doing that. Just my .02 cents, your car though. Tune it and you should be very happy with the results

I hit 800c too....
@ 110mph only and I am running 14:1 lean mixture.
did you obeserve the EGT when you floored the pedal? if you see the EGT went down a little and stays there....that means you are running rich and the fuel is lowering the EGT.
if it just keeps going up (like mine), you are running lean. and if it keeps going up and all the sudden EGT drops, that might indicate detonation. because all the heat in the exhaust transfers to cylinder.

btw, who sold your the SC kit? or you bought it new?
it should go down fast when you let go off the pedal because the throttle body is closed and your fuel pressure returned to idle reading (or maybe even lower, depends on your vacuum reading)
happy new year all~

You still have to dyno the car to find out if you are running lean, that was how I found out. get yourself a bleeder valve for the FMU so you can tune the car a little on the dyno if you dont have an adjustable FMU.

when the car was dynoed by the previous owner it ran very rich.(thats what he told me.)
