and there you have it folks same crap as a 4th gen SCer. Enjoy. Future sellers you may inform others that it can bolt up to their 4th gens. Drove it today and drove just fine. Have to do some cleaning up since we were very exhausted by the end of last night.

Hmm interesting, so everything bolts up but the pipe from the TB which has to be custom fabricated. Correct?

correct. You can hack up the cross overs, from the 5th gen piping. I did not want to do that just in case the project failed I could not sell my Kit to a 5th gen owner. For now I am leaving it as is. It needs metal pullies, a paint job and that should wrap this car up.

I am trying to visualize my current 5th gen pipes in my 4th gen engine bay.

Where exactly do these pipes go wrong?

Do we not have enough room?

Sorry I am just curious! :>

Hmmm. It's not going to be easy keeping track of EGT while keeping an eye on the road with the gauges way down there. Better take along a copilot for the first several runs when you're testing it out.

Yes to measure my boost I take my little brother with me. For EGTs the gauge has the buttons, peak, warning and memory to record one full run. I usually just push peak to see whats the highest temp and I reset it. Same thing with the SAFC.

I think the location of the 4th gen throttle body is diff than that of the 5th gen.

correct the TB location is quite different. The 5th gen piping also has a bigh hole, I render it useless for our cars because you need two nipples for vacuum from the charged piping. You also have to get a temperature reading from the IAT sensor. You can custom make one like I did. Thats cheaper then $80.00 at around $45.

Dixit,

What size is the small pipe on the elbow (small nipple)? I can't find anyone locally that has something that small.

The smallest ones is about 1/8". What I do since its hard to find it, is buy a 4ft hard brake line from napa ($4) and then cut that pipe and weld it.

That's a good option for 99's, who questionably can't fit the pre-99 kits, but can probably fit all 99+'s
