Question about Jim wolf ECU with supercharger and MEVI
basically i have no idea how the chips work for the max, is it a slide in chip? what experience is needed to install it. If im buying it from jim wolf do i have to send my old one to them? basically i want to drop my car off on thursday some week, send my ECU in have it sent back by tuesday the following week. But from thursday to monday my supercharger will be being installed with the variable intake manifold.
has anyone done this already and can tell me the best way to go about this.
i just wanna have the supercharger, mevi, jimwolf ECU, and injectors all installed at once.
please give me feedback

I think Jim Wolf takes a long time to send your ECU back. You have to send them yours. I would try to find one at a junkyard, and send that one in. Hopefully some one else chimes in who has personal experience with Jim Wolf.
once JWT gets your ECU to program it will take a solid 6-8 weeks for them to get it back to you. some have had it back in 4 and some in 12 weeks. JWT is not quick and getting it back in a couple days is not going to happen.

I was also thinking about doing this "all at once"...The only way to be able to do it is order the ECU and wait till thats in then install everything...I have changed my plans and decided to go the FMU route with no JWT and no 370's till the S/C is in and running...then down the road a few seasons Ill get the 370's and ECU
Another benifit from this is you get to see what the upgrade does for your car and also makes troubleshooting easier

Took me 8 weeks or so if I recall. Installing the ECU consists of undoing a few screws and plugging in the new one so unless you don't have opposable thumbs you should be able to handle it...
if i were you buy a spare ecu (since you have a 98), send that in. You will have to get a 95-96 ecu to upgrade that thing. I went the spare ecu route, i believe it took about 2 months and 8 days to get my ecu back from JWT.
PS I think that you have to pay more for the s/c program upgrade....i think it was 300 more, if i'm not wrong.

Yea I like the idea of running the JWT with the s/c instead of going the fuel managment route...with the Computer youll always be tuned perfect 11.5:1
Anyone know if its ok to run 370's without the JWT till I get that in the mail with any problems ??
