Couple more Vortech questions
a) Where do you tap into for the oil return?
b) Did you remover the rad fans to make room for piping?
c) How much would you pay for a used V2 with FMU and oil lines only
d) How hard would it be to make your own mounting bracket?...or would it be easier to buy it from stillen (btw, is their mounting bracket universal for vortech sc's)
e) What did you guys do about the thermostat? It looks like its in the way of the belts
f) What is the crossover tube used for?
thanks ahead for all your help, and hopefully I can get some nice answers

I don't know of anyone running a Vortech blower that isn't using the Stillen kit. With the Stillen kit:
a. The oil return pipe is integrated into a redesigned water pump cover, and a hose is provided to connect the blower oil return to the pipe.
b. The radiator fans do not need to be removed, but a small piece needs to be trimmed.
e. A redesigned thermostat housing is provided that reroutes the radiator hose slightly.
Other answers to your questions:
c. I have seen prices on ebay for a blower alone in the $750-1200 range.
d. It would be pretty difficult to make your own bracket. Lots of people have talked about it, nobody has done it. It would be much easier just to buy one from Stillen. There is one on ebay right now, by the way,
f. The 4th gen kit has one crossover pipe that routes air from the blower to the intake manifold. The 5th gen kit has that pipe plus another that routes intake air from the driver side of the engine bay to the blower inlet. This is done so that the maf can be mounted in the non-pressurized side, unlike the 4th gen kit where it is after the blower.
