Couple of questions regarding boosting

For those that are married or soon to be married, how do you convince your wife or fiance's that boosting is not going put me in harms way. Also, how do you validate the cost with her as well.

Now on a technical note, do you guys think that buying a V1 SC kit for around $2500 complete with 370 injectors and all necessary things minus the Walbro pump ($80 value). Also the SC itself might need a rebuild ($200 right?)

Thanks for all your input.

rebuild is more like 400....

if it comes with gauges, etc. i say thats an OK deal but for another 300-400 u can have a brand new kit...list the parts and you'll get a better answer from orgers

Too much. It's not even rebuilt! That is one hell of a return on an investment. I would say with just kit no more than $1800

skip the SC...just go w/ the turbo...ESP when you have a SO that sits in the car.
"why is your car so loud?"...."is there something wrong with it?"...
then if the belt ever breaks..."i told you not to get all that crap put on the car...you don't listen to me!!" blah blah blah...

if for any reason money is tight or will be tight in the near future...do not go boost. trust me on this one.

that kit is not worth 2500, no gauges or anything? and the bloer needs to be rebuilt? You basically want to get a kit you can slap on right away for roughly 2500. That should include rebuild and gauges. Then thats a good deal. You gonna end up spending over 3k after all the recommended parts. Rebuild alone should make him drop to 2k cause u gonna have to wait to get it back which sucks.

Haterade...don't hate the playa hate the game. I would obviously blame this on her, cause she encouraged me to get a new computer, which in turn led to my finding maxima.org, which led to my obsession....right?
