a/r on compressors

i just got confused i know on turbines the bigger the better for flow to a certain point but it's the opposite for compressors right ????correct me please thnx

A turbo is a compressor and a turbine mated together. The larger the A/R the more air it can flow in general.

There is a problem with your question.... it's VERY broad. And if someone replies with an answer like neal did, someone else may not understand what it ACTUALLY means.

thnx guys for replying but i did read the stickies,,,, ok i 'll refrase my?... let's say you're buying a turbo so you look for a bigger a/r turbine side for reduced back pressure and better flow but do you look for a bigger a/r on the compressor too or it's the opposite ' i'm thinking that a smaller a/r comressor will not allow any air to escape around the vanes' notice i don't mean the trim thnx guys
