I now have about 3" of clearance after adjusting my turbo mounting location. I will be able to get another 1/4-1/2 inch after I install my ES motor mounts. They will allow me to pull the pipe up twords the tranny a bit more since I won't have to worry about tanny/motor movement as much. The mouts them selves will rais the motor and tranny a tad as well. The clearance I have now is totally daily driveable without having to be too careful. But only have a 1.5" Eibach drop so others with lower cars than mine would have more issues

Finally was able to push the car. Took her out late tonight to some empty streches of road and did a bunch of 2nd-3rd gear pulls. Got my exhuast hooked up and the car is not loud at al. My NA set up was louder and that was not very loud at all
Car feels really good. It is not crazy fast or anything but I get that nice little feeling of being pushed into the back of the seat.
Boost starts at 3K and it is fully spooled at 4K (as in I reach my wastegate spring setting)
I get .39 bar and sometimes .4 bar with my peak/hold feature. My wastegate spring is .4 bar so I am not loosing much at all through the intercooler.
Once I hit peak boost it holds till redline, so no boost leak
It is cold here, right around freezing so traction is an issue. I don't have much traction in 2nd gear at all and I could have swore I spun a little in 3rd. Once it warms up I hope my tires hold better.
I reach 80% AFL on my SAFC, so I guess I have plenty of room on the stock MAF. The 80% means 80% of the 0-5 volts is used correct? As in I am using 80% of my MAF's ability to meter air? But the curve is not linear so I am not sure about that.
I have my knock sensor calibrated with the SAFC and I have not gotten anything above 3. Do you guys know at what level on the SAFC knock is a problem. I know on my brothers 40 or 50 is normal.
My fuel pressure reaches around 70-75 psi. There was some confusion as to what size disk was in this FMU, but it is probably a 10:1 (40/2) + (5*10) = 70psi
Over all I am very pleased with the results. I thought I would have many more issues after the install but things have been fairly smooth.
I am 95% sure I am going to dyno tomorrow and play with FMU disk size and the SAFC to get a decent tune.
I am eady eagar for more boost, but I am going to stay at this level for a few months probably.

He is just running the 0.4bar (5.9psi). Aparently, this is enough to hang with a stock 350z.

Got to the dyno today. Very pleased! Waiting for the run files to be e-mailed to me.
The Z that Dave is refering to is BriguyMax's 350z that traps 103mph. We did a couple 40-80 runs and were pretty much dead even

It would definitely be cool see your dyno results when you get them...

He ran 13.68 @ 102.6 stock, now has run 13.38 @ 103.7 with testpipes and a filter. VeeTec (also from this board, different area of the country) ran 13.71 @ 103 stock also. People that run 14s in stock Zs need to get off the track and leave the driving to the people with more than one leg
BTW mike had an extra 200lbs or so in his car when they ran, so given that brian's z traps almost 104 (on 18" wheels even) I'd say mikes car as it sits would trap 105.5-106 if he were to head to the track this weekend (hint).
Mike put down 260whp and 260tq on a dynojet.

Hmmm... well I guess a stock 350Z is faster than I thought... the numbers I saw from car and driver road tests were in the low 14s- high 13s... it is hard for me to know these things anyways since I live a mile (5000ft.) above sea level... up here a 350Z with full exhaust and intake will run a low 15s... unless you got boost, the altitude kills us up here...

the gearing on the two was so different. it was like a 40-70 run and was shut down. Mike had to shift 2-3 while Brian stayed in 3rd (i think) for the run. Nothing else was really done. There was way to much traffic.

Has anyone come up with a step by step procedure on how to perform his mod??? I have over 230K on the motor and tranny, therefore they are due for a rebuild. Money is not really an issue, I will be performing all of the work myself (other than machining). I have already done te suspension mods and the drop. Just point me in the right direction. I have another car to use during the rebuild. Time is not a factor. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Your maxima came alone great.! I have a question for you though i'm new to this site and wanting to turbocharge my 99 nissan maxima peral white GLE.. now i'm ordering every thing peace by peace and my only problem is how the turbo is mounted... in your pics i see that is mounted right on the side of the engine but for the exhaust to reach the turbo how did you do that did you custom make the piping or did you buy it ? any info would be great
