Shredding/Losing S/C Drive Belts

I've been shredding and losing S/C drive belts a lot; I've lost 3 in 2 months. Has anyone been having the same problem? If so, what solution(s) worked? My shop guys are either incompetent, or I am being "used".

I have shredded a few. Once was right after the kit was installed, my installer said it was prolly not aligned right. The last time it happened was when I downsized my pulley and the mechanic didnt shave down the bar enough, causing the belt to barely rub. If you haven't downsized, I'd say it's either not aligned or maybe the belt is to tight. Just a few thoughts, dont know if it will help.

Is your belt touching one side of the tensioner pulley? Thats the one with walls. One definite sign of that is belt wear on the side where its touching.

If that is the case you'll need some really thin (paper-thin) washers to act as shims between the blower and the mounting bracket to align the belt better. This will move the blower unit away from the engine and make the belt run in the center of the pulleys.
