Dyno results

Good results. 260 whp & 260 wtq @ 5psi

My AF was pretty good right out of the box, it is the leaner of the two set ups shown below. That was an 8:1 FMU disk and no SAFC corrections. Just a bit too lean at the end. The SAFC could not add anymore fuel because my stock injectors are maxed out.

So we tried going to a 10:1 disk and pulling fuel. A little on the rich side but a safer tune for vairables that will change when on the street. The down side to that was I had to correct up to 18% with the SAFC in some places. I did not want to correct that much with the SAFC.

I will probably run the richer of the two. The power is about the same so it is not a big deal either way. I will only have this set up for a month or so. I got 370 injectors on the way, and will pick up an 8psi spring and Z32 MAF soon. I would see 300 whp/tq with that.

how do you plan to control the 370s and ZMAF...with what you have or AFPR/Emanage(or AFC)?

Jeff- Car drives fine. The turbo has had little effect on the car's abitlity to be a dialy driver. Ground clearance is my biggest issue.

Turbo is fully spooled by 4K

From what I have read, 370's and the Z32 MAF work great together until a lean condition in the upper rpm's when running moderate boost levels. I plan to just use a 3:1 or 4:1 FMU disk and/or S-AFC

I got hooked up pretty good at the is dyno place too. BriGuyMax is friends with the owner. We spent about well over 2 hrs on the dyno and about 10 pulls for $100.

Wow, looking really good. Amazing how much power a 5 psi turbo puts out compared to the S/C.

I bet seeing that power fall on the top end makes you sick. But, I guess if the MEVI helped you finance the turbo project, then it was worth it. good results, congrats.

hahaha, yes it does. I plan to pick one up as soon as a see a good deal on a used one. If I do get one I will just remove the whole butterfly valve system and see how that works with boost.

I really can't believe how smoothly the whole process went. ESPECIALLY the tuning. I was fully expecting the car to be pig rich before the dyno session. Best SLEEPER EVAR!!! woot

Nice numbers!

Just to clarify, this is not a PFI kit, but it is a simliar setup?

So does this kit have the same, worse, or better ground clearance than a PFI kit?

Thanks for sharing your info!

The exhaust is the same reverse y-pipe design. I can't comment on the ground clearance of the PFI kit since I have never seen one. My clearance is not that bad since I adjusted things, it was just really bad at first. I have just about 3" of clearance at the lowest point now.

its not pfi but the exhaust piping and turbo placement seems similar.
