Taking the blower off today - need advise
Hey guys,
I'll be taking my blower off today as the bearings sound really bad now. Not the marbles in the can noise as before but a scratching-type of noise. I'll definitely take that blower apart to see what the problem is and take pics. I'll check around my city if there are any bearings shops around.
Question:
I want to be able to drive around without the blower.
So if I remount the mounting bracket back on to support the alternator, bag the oil return line and get an -4 AN plug for the oil feed line, should I reuse the old tensioner pulley and original belt or can I get by with the current tensioner pulley?

Take everything off of the plate, even the tenshioner pulley, and put it back up to the engine so your alternator still stays put.(I drove around with my alternator only held on by one bolt and every day the belt got loser and loser) you wont need your idler pulley thats on your plate, cause your belt wont be long enough to reach up to it...
Then just put on your stock belt and youll be fine...

Thanks matty!
Finally got it back to N/A after 3.5 hrs.
The intake sure sounds different after I ducktaped an elbow to the intake tube and hooked up the drum air filter. I have all the parts for the day when I do the CAI for the blower and so it looks like I'll have a chance to do it soon.
I found that the bolt for securing the pulley went loose again which accounts for the metal scratching noise. Good thing I stopped driving the Max when I did.
Since the blower is off I'll take it apart carefully and take some pics.
