Supercharged/Turbocharged The increase in air/fuel pressure above atmospheric pressure in the intake system caused by the action of a supercharger or turbocharger attached to an engine.

Any thoughts on the Greddy emanage ultimate ?

brandon (fstlndr) sells it for $535 puls $95 for the harness.
http://www.transonicracinginnovation...opic.php?t=219

I have been talking with him over email and along with icey, it seems like they're figuring out the fuel cut issue here http://www.transonicracinginnovation...68d090a6729a88

If you read the yahoo group and the my350z thread, you get a pretty good idea of what is going on.

Slimer, does Brandon's price include shipping and is there any handling fee? I didn't get the group deal but but the price Sharif (Forged Internals) gave me was straight up. $638 for the EU and harness. No shipping charge, and no other fees, like the 3% mohdparts charges. I didn't want to be bothered to look on Ebay for the harness.

On another note, it's been interesting following the yahoo group. There's a couple hardcore guys with hex editors there hacking the engine.dat file figuring out all the stored settings. Apparently Greddy's still got some bugs to figure out too. I'm sure there'll be more firmware/software updates coming.

Not sure.. it only went out yesterday I think... so I'm hoping for the end of the week but more likely next week.

EDIT: just found out it shipped today via USPS so with customs and all likely next week.

Yeah, pretty easy to hack the VQ35 or VQ30DET setting to a VQ30 setting with whatever MAF and crank type we want.

I like that web tool though...that would be sweet.

Is it possible for the EU to show different gauges on the pc. For instance say you have a PC in your car hooked up to a screen and then the EU can display all the gauges you want, instead of have gauges on your A-pillar. Is that possible, cause I think I saw a guy on yahoo group trying to do that.

Yeah no kidding... that's exactly what I thought when I saw it. Could be handy indeed.

I'm itching to get this thing in my hands and start playing. I'm really hoping to be able to eliminate the need for my JWT ECU.

Are you talking about the guys studying the .dll files? Because I don't remember seeing anything in the software for guage display other than the datalogging screen, which is a graph, not a gauge. But there are some things greyed out though that we can't access yet since there's no unit hooked up.

Someone can correct me if I've missed something somewhere.

Ya that's the guy(s) that have been doing the hacking. From what I gather, it sounds like they're planning to write a bit of add-on software that would take the Greddy data and display it in a pseudo gauge format on a PC screen. But it might not happen right away as it sounds like they're working on the other web app first (to change the engine parameter setup file).

Any more updates, I wanna know what im going to get for my money, and not what greddy "says" it will do for cars. Any update on the rev limit cut or if the advanced timing works? And are there any systems out there that can really get rid of the rev limit, or top speed limit for the obd-II computers, like the aem ems?

Nobody has it or at least has installed it yet on a VQ30...

Just because it works on other cars, ie 350Z and IS300s, etc., doesn't mean it will work on 4th/5th gens..

Sounds like a couple members are taking the plunge and should let us know soon.

After talking to Sharif today at the Carolina Z meet, I see no reason whatsoever that it won't do everything that is promises to do. However even Sharif hasn't attempted to extend his rev limit.

We also got a very good look at the new 300hp VQ35.

SO basically your telling me I should go ahead and order it along with the harness so I can use this for my turbo setup. I didn't want to order it and it doesn't work, but now your saying that it will, right?

WOW!!!

This thread was just great....so in detail but yet i must ask....ohh and Hello from mr. N00bie from Ireland!

I was reading through all this and i cant believe it took an hour...

Basically what im gonna ask is, I have a Toyota (sorry) 4age 16v with 20v ITBs on it and a Apexi SAFC with a Remapped TODA ECU. The safc was ****E cos it cudnt lower base fuel enough so it kept flooding so i sold the crap on.....same with teh TODA ECU so i guess i need a std ECU now to go forward with relays etc...no biggie!

what i need now is something good to fix my prob so i can run my car on ITBs. the engine is MAP sensor and has a fair few mods which made things worse trying what i did with the std ECU! so i have given up experimenting and need a good ECU or piggyback like emanage ultimate! will the emanage be up to the job in hand? i will also be running NOS when mapped so will that effect anything??

i was going to go with a Freedom ecu because its plug n play and can be run on closed loop so not much tuning is needed...well i cannot tune a Freedom cos they are Japanese and the software requires jap windows version and i dont have the ECU -> Laptop cable either!! so then i considered an OMEX but that seems like a bit of a nitemare if this emanage ultimate is any good??

so thats why im considering the emanage ultimate....if you guys think its gonna be good for what i need then i will purchase! if not then i wont...simple as.....also, if it is good then what harnesses or extras etc will i need?? all i want is my car to run 100% with or without NOS and get it mapped over here.

Thanks,
Ian.
