Guagin interest on VQ30 w/VQ35 heads?
Guagin interest on VQ30 w/VQ35 heads?
So who wants too see someone try this?? I have all the parts and i just killed my
bottomend (12psi took its toll on a bottomend with blowby) This is just gonna be something too play around with for me till my built motor is done.....I believe it will yield a 8.5:1 comp.

Yeah the VQ35 block/heads and 30 crank and rods. I was told it would make a low comp motor.

Tilley, have you determined whether or not there will be clearance issues yet? I can't remember quite what, but wasn't there speculation before that the pistons might hit the head? (something like there being 1mm not enough clearance?)

Well the DET crank and rods are STRONG. And the stock VQ35 pistons are not as strong as the rest of the setup. I wonder how much boost the 350z are putting on the stock pistons.
