I got a 3.25" pulley and a 2.87" pulley and the 2.87" pulley weighs more than the 3.25" pulley. Does that matter? Will it hurt my boost psi?

Well the 2.87 should give you 2.87" worth of boost no matter what since you'll be spinning the blower at that many revolutions per second, regardless of how heavy the pulley is. If the pulley is lighter then the engine might just rev a little easier.

 

The pulley is heavier because of the sides of the pulley. If you look at the 2.87 the sides are thicker. Why, I think because of the surface space being smaller it helps to have thicker sides. Just a theory...

 

No it won't affect how much boost you make.
