got my J&S safegaurd finally
The only thing in the black box is three pairs of diodes, connected as "or" gates.
The box incorporates the "input adapter" and "output adapter", shown in the old installation diagram: http://www.jandssafeguard.com/MaximaDrawing3.gif
It's possible I put one of the diodes in backwards. That's easy enough to verify with your DVM set to "diode check".
If that checks out, I suspect you miss wired it. Make sure that you actually picked the six coil wires, then double check the order.

Gabriel
Gabe: Had to unplug the phone to work on orders. Your unit shipped yesterday. I'll email the tracking number.
Did you get the engine running in waste spark mode before the coils burned? Just want to make sure that you had it wired correctly, so you don't blow them again. We've had 350z customers blow coils because of miswires.

I have not boosted in the last couple of weeks (since I sent you the unit) and it has run perfect.
I hope that is what you mean.
