compression high...

me compression tested at 230 for each of the front 3 cylinders. I think they're 2,4, and 6. Regardless of the cyl numbers, I believe I should be at around 180 and am getting worried if superchargin might be a bad idea?

thanks =]

I would be very concerned about compression test numbers that are significantly higher than normal (230 psi fits that description). That could be due to a lot of carbon buildup in the combustion chambers. When boosting, the carbon could get hot enough to glow and cause preignition, and you could burn a hole in a piston.

Compression tests should always be done with all your plugs removed. You will get more consistent results this way and it is easier on your poor starter.

crank it for a few seconds until you hear 4-5 "puffs"...watch your readings, cylinders shouldn't differ by ~20% or so at most
