1st Time at the track tonihgt

Well this is going to be my first time at the track tonihgt acctually running a car. Im going just for pratice and to see how slow the car is until i get the exhaust leak fixed.

I have a 3.125 pully only getting like 9 psi now
Front heated 02 is out, exhaust leak in the y pipe
about 300lbs of dead stero weight
Murano Rims

How bad do you guys think this experience will be. Im hoping to break 15s haha. Im not the best shifter (alittle slow) plus im kind of nervous. But next time i go to the track first fri in april ill have new Z rated tires, exhaust leak fixed, hopefully tuned with the VAFC2 and if jclaw gets the traction bars out them also.

Give me some predictions and how you think i should launch the car if at all.

Your car will be fine to race with a bad O2 sensor, not sure why he said that.

Well I didnt take my car there b/c of that didnt want to take the chance just in case but even if i had decided to race i wouldnt have been allowed. New rules for this track any car under 13.5 needs a cage and the one the would have stopped me was any car with after market FI needs to have a flame suit.

WTF track is that, so I know never to go there. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. so you're telling me anyone that say, wants to run their stock camaro there needs to install a ROLL CAGE? that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Both IHRA and NHRA rules state 11.50 and faster need a bar (don't know the specifics of the bar, install points, etc) and 10.00 or 10.49 need a 6 point cage iirc. I think convertibles need a bar at 13.50 or 13.00 or something in that ballpark, according to nhra and ihra rules.

The flame suit thing is absolutely idiotic too. So if I take a 17.8 second honda civic DX, install one of those Fisher Price: My First Turbo kits on it and get my civic down to a whopping 16.3 in the 1/4 mile, they are going to have me wear a nomex flame suit. Jeez. You didn't wanna go to a place like that anyways, that track sucks. Find a more realistic and friendlier track bro there are tons of em to choose from in your area.

Why??? o2 sensors serve no funtion in open loop thus having a bad o2 sensor means nothing.

Exhaust leaks closer to the engine lose more power.

Sycil County Maryland was the track that i went to . I dont know if its on the web site but thats what one of the guys there were telling me. That track used to be pretty cool with things but i think there was some accidents that have caused them to apply these rules. And yes if you took a 16.8 sec turbo civic there you would need a flame suit. There was a guy that ran his new z06 corvette and ran an 11.3 bone stock with street tires and he was only allowed to make 2 passes because he didnt have a cage.

In closed loop they do. In open loop exhaust leaks mean nothing.

You shouldn't need a 6-point Roll Bar and a flame suit until 11.49 (it used to be 11.99). And you shouldn't need a Full Cage and NHRA permit until 9.99. The only maxima that needs a roll bar is Mardi's and maybe Neal's if he launches like he doesn't like his differential.
