vortech sfmu good?

okay, i screwed up my stock fuel pressure regulator(dont get me started) but i am kinda happy because i want to go with an fmu that will do base pressure and be boost sensitive. the vortech sfmu says it does both but not sure if it is the one i want or the best one there is. what are you guys having success with? supercharged btw...

Either way I think you still need your stock FPR in place and working.

It was always my impression that the stock FPR is removed or gutted when you run an SFMU. What setup are you running Mike? I know Stephen doesn't run a stock FPR.

I have the sx7r stand off fitting and the vortech sfmu. Its very easy to set base and the rising rate too.

excuse my ignorance but what is the "sx7r standoff fitting"? is that just the fitting for the sfmu to attach to the fuel lines?

It replaces the stock fpr and it attaches to the end of the fuel rail so you can attach an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator.

The SMFU is an aftermarket FPR. Its a FPR and an adjustable rising rate FMU all in one.

Many say Cartech BEGI. Thats what I have. I still haven't used it though.

alot of people have great success with the cartech begi, i was going to go with that but ended up getting an aftermarket fpr with greddy EU

i just read the write up on the cartech and it says it "bypasses the stock fpr"...so does that mean i have to have a stock fpr in (as mine is toasted and dont want to buy one)? because it doesnt look like it does base pressure.
