Congrats matty! If you have any questions give me a shout although I am busy working on my car this weekend too (just so you know why if I don't respond instantly). Read through the installation manual a couple times, it'll give you a better idea of what all is involved. Also look at page 7 in the operation manual.

Kinda reading over the directions.
What Jumper setting am I using ?
Am I connecting the crank signal right away or waiting for the ne firmware ??
Do i used every wire from each Harness
What do I set the DIP switch to ?
Am I just tapping all these wires or some go in through the EU then out to the stock ECU.

I dont wanna go into the install blinde. I wanna know as much as I can before I start tearing this apart

Leave the jumper settings alone.

Dip switches can be whatever you like, just set them up how you want under the "Front Panel" in the EU support tool.

Tap BOTH crank wires how Dandy stated in his other post(POS to crank and REF to cam IIRC), you just select Ignition Signal under the Vehicle->RPM Signal Type. If the taps cause RPM fluctuations you can always just disconnect them at the EU side.

Some are tapped and some are intercepted, ie cut and each end goes to a wire. Read the manual, it is pretty clear. If one wire goes to one wire, it is tapped, but if it is two wires from the EU go to one on the ECU then it is intercepted.

Look at Section 7(page 11) of the Install manual for which wires go to what.

For a basic install:

Connector A
1-12 All used.

Connector B
13/14/21/26/27 not used.

Connector C
31/37/40 optional, but not required.

I'd start by figuring out all the features you plan on using and put all the pins in an excel spreadsheet in one column and then the ECU pins(car or ECU side) in the other. Just go down one-by-one to make sure you get them all correct.

Dandy and Jime posted some of the ECU pins/wiring info you'll need, but make sure you verify all with a FSM:

Depends...they are useful for bypassing incase something goes wrong or for testing, but IMO, just cut them off and solder everything for long-term reliability.

Also, I'm not 100% sure on the Connector C pin 40, you might need to wire the output also. I thought I read somewhere you didn't need it if you were only logging the vehicle speed, but I just wired both input/output.

Also, a trick I've learned/used many many times is that you can pop the back(white plastic piece) off each of the three EU connectors and using a small flat screwdriver release the pins to pull them out the back.

That is an easy way to disconnect a tap or use a spare piece of wire to bypass an intercept.

Don't worry about it then...

Your LC1 will go through one of the three wire OPTION1/OPTION2 ports on the front of the EU. You can buy a $20 harness from mohdparts or do like someone on the EU yahoo group said they simply modded an old PC CPU fan cable.

For the MEVI, I think you just wire the switchable ground wire to Connector B pin 26 or 27. You also have to swich jumper JP19(pin 26) or JP20(pin 27) to activate the channels. Then you just use the NVCS map. However, ask Dandy how he did his VIAS solenoid, since the NVCS map is probably outputting 12V vs. a ground, so you might need a relay or other workaround.

Don't be...just make an Excel spreadsheet. I put the Connectors A, B, C pins down a middle column. Then I put the ECU pins either on the left side for the wires going to the ECU and the right side for the wires going to the CAR(sensor) side. Sort of a check list.
