SC Pulley Weight....

I have a Vortech 3.125" pulley that Ive been running. Ive decided to get a 2.87" when I swap out my motor. I bought an aftermarke 2.87 pulley, ASP Racing I believe, and the thing is pretty heavy. Almost twice as heavy as the Vortech Unit.

Do you think it would make much of a difference ?? I can order a new pulley from vortech if it comes down to that.

If I had to guess, and I could be wrong, it would be equivelant to the situation of a lighter/heavier crank pulley. Whether or not it would affect things in other ways (since it obviously isn't a crank pulley, it's driving a supercharger), I don't know, I'm just taking a stab in the dark here.

Vortech's 2.87" Pulley weighs 0.609 lbs (Weighted 4 times on a Electronic scale: 0.609, 0.609, 0.610, 0.609)

Weigh your ASP Pulley and you'll know exactly how heavy the two compares. I do think a heavier pulley may affect a slight difference, but heavier pulley means a slight more spinning momentum, it could serve as a dampner for up-down revs.
