install question........again!!!

In case your wondering I AM REALLY nervous about damaging my engine. As an engineer by training I'm kind of ****. and I have to know exactly how something works and why.

Ok I ordered the boost tube, bypass valve assembly, and relocation brackets from stillen today so I'm looking at final install this weekend here is what I have. on a V-2 supercharger. I'm worried about the Z32 injectors and mas so I'm changing the 2.78"(14lb) pulley for a 3.33"(9lb) pulley (for now) and I am going to use the stock injectors and MAS with 8:1 fmu and in tank 255 fp is there anything else I HAVE TOO have to run safely??? (I will have air/fuel gauge and boost gauge and I know the emanage controller or similar would be useful) and if I went to a 3.6" pulley I know it should be ok but 3.33"=6lb(stock)+3lb boost???

Also I noticed that some of the stillen setups have an "intake" and boost tube crossing the front of the car and in order to do this the windsheild washer filler tube has to move. Does anyone know what part number(windsheild relocation???) this is from stillen(I have looked in the stickies) I can't find it on my BOM.

With a 3.33 pulley, you'll be just fine with stock injectors and stock MAF (or MAS as you call it).

Your setup sounds good. Unless your A/F gauge is wideband, it's useless. All you need now is a boost gauge, IMO, to make sure you're hitting 9psi. Get one with peak memory so you can floor it and keep your eyes on the road. Then playback your peak boost.

Will you be using the T-Rex auxillary fuel pump that Stillen provides in the kit?

For a 4th gen, the windshield reservoir, and even the filler neck, can stay. The filler neck will have to be rotated though. The Stillen setup with crossing tubes is for the 5th gen only.

the 3.3 is fine with what you have, is the crossover set up your talking about like the one in my sig. if so the windshield washer bottle stays.

what about using the Z32 370cc injectors with the stock MAF? Does that work? Or does the lack of airflow metering above a certain CFM pose a problem?

I will not be using the t-rex I have a new 255 walbro intank. I bought the auto meter phantom II gauges, boost gauge doesn't have memory and my air fuel gauge IS a wide band But I have a narrow band for tuning (not mine). I may make a cross over tube If I have the room. Yeah I call it the Mass Air Sensor(MAS) but it is the same part.

YES!!! I think so it has the intake and the boost tubes running one on top of the other across the frond of the car. How could the bottle stay?? it looks like the intake tube would have to hit it?????

both of those lines go to the air filter, only if you go cold air intake do you have to remove it. i still have my washer bottle except the coolant bottle gets repositioned to the other side of the car.

Ok I hope I will conservative is fine at this point.
I have the 2.87" pulley as well but I'm really just nervous about the install. what else are you using (fuel system and controller??)with your stock MAF??

Well, withougt the T-rex, I think it might be safe to say that your system is no longer "safe" as you put it in your first post. That's why I asked the question. If I understand older threads correctly, other orgers have had the Walbro go out on them and have been left stranded. Also, if the Walbro malfunctions while boosting hard, your car will be starving for fuel, run lean, and possilbly damage your engine.

Personally, when I install my Walbro, I'm leaving my T-rex in-line.

Why are you doing the crossover tube thing? Your mimicking the 5th gen setup? Just curious.

I dont want to blow anything up!!!!! but I have the walbro I don't have the t-rex so it's a $$$ thing. but I may start looking for a good deal on an electric FP.
well I like the way it looks, I want cold air, and I would like to make the air intake quieter all I want to hear is the little wine of the blower.
Also how have the Super FMU from vortech been working does anyone have one and how good would they be for fine tuning??

If the walbro were to die, would the external pump be able to suck enough fuel through the dead walbro to supply the motor anyways? I guess maybe enough to get you home without boosting?

I ran the exterior aux pump that came with the stillen kit for 120k miles. When I took it off it still worked. I should have left it on for back up...

Im running 440cc deutchwerks injectors w/emanage blue and a walbro. No fpr other then stock and no fmu. Idles perfect and runs great. If you can program or have someone do it right the emanage seems to be the easiest and best way to go imo.
