Light Harness Keeps melting.

Every like 3 weeks i guess the outlet hose on the sc'er keeps pressing up against the back of my headlight harness and melts the wires. Does anyone else have a problem with this?

Know any ways that i would fix this problem?

I was thinking run the charged pipe down through the front of the car as if there was an intercooler, but Id have to see more detailed pics of how to acctually do this.

That would work it looks like it makes alot of space there for the lights. How hard is that to do? And what size piping lets you keep the foglights or is it just a tighter bend that has to be made?

The outlet. It looks to be clocked to face downward, probably for a FMIC or the previously-stated FMIC-like piping setup.

I dont think any of the guys that have a front mount, with a s/c setup, have kept their fog lights.

I have my setup with the regular 3" crossover, no clocked blower, and I dont have any problems with the Light Housing melting.

Weird....The crappy rubber elbow used to touch my headlight wiring, but it never melted it..... What did happen is my headlight would intermitedly turn on and off. Once I reclocked the blower up and did a full 3" custom charge pipe, my problem went away. See pics

yea i think i need to reclock the blower because mine just seems really low, almost horzontal with the metal part that you would cut through for the piping to be run downward for the fmic.

Maybe something like this would work.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BOAT-...QQcmdZViewItem

I know the guys that did the initial fab on my car wrapped one of the a/c lines going to the canister with something like this near where the turbo will mount. Should work for that area near the s/c. Someone somewhere should have a small piece to give you.

Well, what do you plan to do about it?? The cheapest and easiest thing to do is in post #8. Similiar stuff can be had at Home Depot.
