What Luck???????

Well 164000 miles and over 40,000 of those being boosted and up to 15psi V-2 style the motor finally bit the dust!!!!
It blew a hole in the pisont or blew a ring land? anyways one cylinder lost all compression! for all you out there that think you cant run 15psi untuned and survive your wrong, I've been boosting this way for a year. Tuning its the key!!! blowing the motor and at really bad timing!!!!! I am planning on drivin this car to fla from IN on thursday. What you thin k my chances arein swapping the motor in 4 days? Hahahaahhaha I might try if I can get a motor!!!!!! Hope to god there is one in fort wayne or indy!!! if not I guess its the 1990 plyouth laser making the trip there!!! THAT SUX!!! No heated seats. lol.

anyways my motor was sad on compression be fefore but now it s time for a t-trim blower and forged internals!!!!!

Sorry to hear about the bad luck.

If you really wanted to swap the motor in 4 days you could. You should be able to find a several VQ30's for less than $300 in your area. They are all over the salvage yards. A swap can do done in two afternoons as long as no major issues come up.

Good luck

well

well the motor is out!!! and it only took me 5 hrs!!!! yippy I pick up a 70000 mile motor down in indy on monday!!! 650.00 bucks all I got to do is swap over the s/c the injectors and manifolds, and the clutch flywheel.

I would love to do a 3.5 liter but given the fact I want to drive this car to fla in less than week! if this all comes together and it runs I will be lucky!!! thursday is d-day.

Ttrim is always nice, but 15psi + stock timing =

Youre not gonna boost it now right? Until you get something to tune it with?

I am already tuned! Ive been tuned with 15psi on the s-trim for 2 years now. I use emanage and still have some more tuning to do. the current tune is rather good and is on the rich side. I am surprised that this motor lasted this long. I beat the **** out of this car. I have z32 maf and the ignition harness to put in. And I so plan on going t-trim but turning the boost down to 10 for starters.

well, I forgot I also have a tecnosquare ecu with 12 degrees pulled out of the entire map! yea I know it sux!!! thats why I have more tuning to do. I put down 337hp with this set up. I expect with the z32 and putting the timing back inthe motor I will be able to make 400.

Your original post makes it sound like your car is not tuned... that's why everyone is saying to get it tuned.

First off, let me say that sux and congrats on the new engine, and getting it in that quick. Second, let me ask, where in FL are you coming to? Let me know! Would love to see a S/c max.
