Water/Meth/Alck Injection.

As some of you know I have rear mounted turbo, non intercooled. im at 5psi right now. I plan to increase boost very soon, but I do not want to have any problems due high temps in cylinders. So most likely I will be doing some sort of injection. I just do not know which to go for. is water alone good enough to cool at higher psi's in our motor for example 10psi. I just wanted to get any advice you guys may have with this injections topic. I was going to build my own kit, but I found a seller online that has everything for very cheap, $180ish (includes pump, lines, solonoids, spray nozzle. etc....)

Every kit I've ever seen has been marketed as appropriate for both water and alcohol. Just depends what type of liquid you put in the resevior. Alcohol (methanol) has more beneficial qualities as it cools a bit more and also raises the octane level, but it's also more expensive. Personally I think you could get away with just water injection for most reasonable boost levels but I could be wrong, an accurate IAT sensor is the way to find out.

I run a Snow Performance kit. I'd check them out because they have some very nice controllers that will allow you to dial in injection pump pressure and rate increase. Race methanol is cheap...5 gallons for $12...cut 50/50 with distilled water and it wil last you quite a while.

i too was thinking about this... i don't see anything wrong with the ebay kit, http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...501+314798+115 found that one the guy above uses... about 100 dollars more.. I think I might give the ebay one a whirl. but it is an extra 35 for the 1 gallon jug for the ebay kit.
