I know it has been done but I think you have to use 90 degree elbows going straight back.

or do you think the intercooler is even worth it on a supercharged max?

I don't, I just run a "cai" on it. How much boost is he running?

I would say 3" charge piping is worth it, but an air-to-air intercooler wouldn't be. Seems like anyone here who has tried one has gotten benefits of lowered charge temps, but also dropped enough pressure to balance out the gains and end up at square-one. I don't know much about the air-to-water, though.

I'd just run the charge pipe across the front first and see if that is sufficient. I bet it will be with the retarded timing of the 3.5 with 3.0 ECU, etc.

11psi on the 3.5 motor? He should start at the lowest boost level and work from there IMO. You're going to lose boost through that intercooler piping though. If it is the best intercooler piping in the world, you may still lose 1psi. Back to your original question though. I believe 6inches is the tallest without cutting the bumper support. The SC outlet is 2.75", so it would be best if you can get an IC with that inlet/outlet diameter and run 2.75" piping straight through. Avoid bottlenecking the boost going into the IC (ie 2.75" piping reduced to 2,5" at the inlet of the IC). I think anything under 30" long, end tank to end tank will allow you to keep your fogs with bends going straight back as mentioned above.

I think you are going to have to get rid of the fog lights in order to use a fmi

Ummm...lets take a step back....with my car now and before I sold my Supercharger....when I looked at the engine bay with the 3.5, there was no room to run cross piping. So I was going to intercool because I had too basically. Maybe its just be...but these not seem so be room for 3" piping.

The 3.5 doesn't take up any extra room

For the record, intercoolers come in different sizes. He would have to get rid of the fog lights to use THAT FMIC.

You guys have plenty of room for the stock charge pipe or 3" charge pipe? Additionally, is this with the cover on or off? I am speaking in terms of with the cover on.

From these pictures you can't tell me that a charge pipe will go across. And then the BOV will have to clear. Just me...but I would rather run the intercooler than remove my cover. I know..I am weird. But without the cover...I guess it can be done.
