I want to turbo my car, Advice plz

I'm buying the stock turbo from an Evo 8 along with the intercooler from an Evo 9. I was going to get some universal intake side piping along with a boost controller and blow off valve. I was wondering if anyone knew if that turbo would push enough air to produce 7psi for my car. He said on his Evo it pushes 22psi; but thats a 4cyl. So, I was looking for some advice from anyone whos turbo'd their car- things to do, things not to do, stuff to look out for, techniques.. thanks in advance

Im sure it can produce 7psi with no problem. Real question here is, since I would think that the turbo is relatively small for our engine, will it choke up at the top end?

I looked up the specs of the stock turbo and found this thread... http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=197890

It looks like chinese to me tho, as I am not familiar with those turbo sizes and CFM requirements for our turbo setups etc..., so Maybe someone else can make something out of the info that is there.

What do you mean choke? Think it wont be able to pull enough air to feed the motor?

So you're saying there will be too much exhaust for the turbo to accept.. Gotcha.. so, I can messure the turbo and match it up with the specs that you guys already have. that might work to see if it will fit.

That big-16g at 7psi does not have very much flow capability - it's only got the ability to flow about 225-240hp worth of air before you are totally off the map at that pressure ratio. It is not a good fit for our engines at all. My advice is do not waste your time with it.
