smoke from pcv!!

just wondering what this means?? I have white smoke coming out from both valve cover pcv openings. what is this the symptoms of, how serious is it, and how do i fix it? I changed the oil and theres no coolant in it and theres no oil in the coolant so I dont think its a head gasket.. also theres no smoke coming from the exhaust..

Do you have a PCV system operating on the engine?

huh??? Never heard of venting the PCV when SC'd. What made you do that?

Are you sure you have your terminology correct?

Now, if you're talking about the crank case breather hose, just to the right of the spark plug cover, then yes some people put a baby K&N filter on there rather than recirculating it back into the air stream.

Please clarify.

Ring lands are a part of the piston.

Welcome to the club. You should see the smoke my valve covers lets out. in traffic looks like my car is on fire under the hood. been like that since I went turbo 4 months ago and I have been abusing the car alot. Already planning for DE-K since im pretty sure this motor is just tired and bout to give up anytime soon.

How many miles does ur engine havE?

Did you just get done driving that car really hard ??

I drive my car pretty hard and NEVER had this problem. Smoke from your engine bay isnt a good thing by any means

Quit saying you "blew your pistons" all around the Forum. You didnt blow your motor....Do a Compression Test. That will tell the entire truth.

Compression test might not show any signs of problems though. I have smoke coming out mine too and my compression is fine. ofcourse dosnt mean not to do it though, but something to consider. I also recommend leak down test.

You need a leak down test not a compression test.
