That flutter is compressor surge......your screwing your turbo up and will need a new one soon. Either you have it hooked up to a bad vacuum or its broke.

It's not compressor surge. I have used a line that was too long and melted against the downpipe, there is a distinct difference in the sound.

to be honest it seems as tho you wasted alot of money on all those systems.

unless this is a show car then i retract my previous statement. If not i'll be glad to explain myself

Tell it to the guys that have to tune it...... gee I wonder WHO is tuning his car.....

I agree, its alot of stuff. Turbo and alcohol no problem, then he added nitrous... I told him I wouldnt do nitrous on it but w/e its his car. He's not running that big a shot anyways (but then again for that same reason, why bother? -I asked, but he's put alot of $ and time into getting the kit together so w/e, his car, lol). the co2 wont affect tune that much (just chilling the IC) so Im not so concerned about that really.

But yea, needless to say, that nitrous is gonna make the tune a PITA when its turn comes up int he tuning "sequence", but its not a big shot so it shouldnt be THAT bad... I still wouldnt use it at all, but w/e, his car, lol.

well not only that if he cant control timing then theres not point in half the stuff(IIRC emanage blue cant).either way tunning is gonna be overly complicated.but aslong as he is happy and what not.Like you said his car.

EManage Blue CAN control timing, but only to retard it, which for the purposes of boosting the car, is all thats needed as far as timing goes. But yea, its going to be fun to tune it, lol

Why is that? Depending on the power curve shown while dyno tuning you may want to add timing in some areas and pull it in others in order to gain the most power.

And either way, with as much as this guy is going to have to boost to reach his "WHP Goal" (dont ask what it is, that wont get released until its on a dyno sheet) advancing timing is the last thing that we'll be doing

I had finals and then I was out of town for a week and a half. I just got back a few days ago. All that I've done since I got back was finish wiring up the turbo timer and I installed the racing seats and 4 point harnesses. There is still a lot of small stuff that needs to be finished like wiring up the bottle heater and the bottle opener. install the meth kit, install the co2 kit. order/install injectors, lower the front of the car put the bumper on get an alignment, and I know im missing a bunch of other small things thats need to get done. my problem is time I never have time to work on it.

a purge is used for the simple purpose of getting all the air out of the main line. You only purge the system for around 5 seconds, which wouldn't be enough to have any cooling affects on the intercooler. Also if you were to purge onto the intercooler you wouldn't be able to see whats going on with the purge. (you wouldnt be able to see if nitrous is coming out of the purge)

co2 is more effective. for 1 it is alot cheaper and I think when sprayed it is colder than no2.
