i was looking at the series 7 elite. do they stay lit up even if your lights are not turned on? are they easy to see on a sunny day, as far as glare?

Depends where you tap for it's power source. If you tap into your cigarette lighter (for example), they'll be on all the time. Tap into the light ring around the cigarette lighter that turns on when your headlights are on, and you'll have it on only at night ect. (I can't remember if the ring is only on with the headlights, i'm just giving you an example)

what company makes the best 52mm form fitting pillar for a 99.
i dont really like the idea of screwing a pillar on through the face of the pillar.

So no one cares about monitoring their fuel pressure?

With the properly sized injectors and a good fuel pump (and assuming one has a half way decent tune...), there's really no need IMO. Stock/undersized injectors on the other hand, sure, it would be beneficial to know.

Id rather monitor EGT.

Right now i have Boost, EGT, and Oil Pressure. If i can find anywhere else to mount more gauges without looking like a ricer or having them totally out of place. Water temp and Oil temp would be nice.

I am using Prosport gauges. They are very nice. Blacked out when they are off, illuminate blue when there on, they also have the opening ceremony thing too. Knock off Defi's basically.

Who cares about EGT for an SC'ed application?

P.S. You might want to change that bolt to a screw.

Very true, unless for some reason FP drops or its limited which by monitoring youd know you right away you have a problem.

WB is much more usefull over the EGT, although if you dont have a WB and have no way of tuning an EGT gauge will work.

Very true, but both is better! Me and my friend went halfs on a wideband, so we keep it till the other one needs it. When i dont have it in, i just use my EGT as reference. You can never be too safe!

Good idea, me and a friend are thinking about doing the same with an LM2.

Personally I like to have as many things i can monitor at once, just with the least amount of instruments. IE something like a PLX R500, which is discontinued .

I recently purchased a maxima with a 3.5 swap. The main build of this car is to run at the racetrack, not really for street. It will be street legal, but the build is for drag purposes. I've been thinking of replacing the top two dins for triple gauge din for each din (leaving me with 6 gauge pockets to fill)

The car is automatic:
Are the following Important?

Trans Temp
Oil Pressure
Fuel Pressure
LC-1
Nitrous (might move it towards the cup holder)
Oil Temp

Anything I'm missing, I'm trying to draw attention to the car (hence no triple gauge pod on the pillar), I think I've covered the more important gauges vs. the typical a/f and the pyrometer. Should I include the water temp gauge??
