well I have been running on a quick street tune to keep my a/f from pegging the gauge and get it into the mid to low 10's. I had some free time and retuned the car to 11.1-11.6 wot, my goal is 11.3-11.5 and started on the part throttle tune. Looking to get that in the 11.5-11.8 range

well I was planning to hit the track on the 3rd but my car had other plans and wented to replace a 2.5-3inch coupler with a 2.5-3inch ic pipe and have it welded in since it would not stop leaking.

well on my way to work my rear tire blew out and the tread came off the rim so I put a dough nut on to get to work and after work on my way to the stop my intercooler bolts came off and part of the ic got caught under the car and ***'d up. It seems to hold boost but my gauge and wg both run to the turbo and can't tell how much it's leaking.

I was able to get 1 bolt back in and went to the shop anyway and got the pipe welded and the owner say he can weld in a new core if the tanks did not get twisted but not my car idles weird sometimes and stalls when coming to a stop so I am going to just order a new intercooler and check everything post maf for leaks, hoping something came loose when the ic fell

I got a tire today will order the ic this week, hopefully fix the stalling issue and hit the track by the end of month.

checked everything out, removed the iacv turned the idle up to 700rpms. I did notice one of my couplers were damaged when the ic fell, couldn't tell if leaks as I didn't do a boost leak test but I'll just replace it along with the ic.

Next I'll pull the plugs and check, clean and regap them since I have not pulled them since the car was turbo'd

ok so it appears the intercooler is damaged so bad that the car can not get enough air when not in boost and dies at low rpms. I disconnected the maf from the charge pipe and drove the car n/a and everything seems to be fine.

I am going to still pull the plugs and order a new intercooler and coupler this week and go from there.

Well I was going to the track today and see what me G35 would do but it poured down raining when I was about 5mins away.

So I am just going to order a intercooler and weather pending take the maxima next week. I am going to set the boost at 10-12psi at the intake manifold and hope for the best. Right now I am only running 11-12psi depending on the weather at the turbo

I bought the same one I had before since my intercooler pipes are already welded up for it.

The bad part is I took the bumper off to make the install easier and got to looking at my rad support and its really bad. The front of the cross member is not even attached anymore.

I am still going to the track but will just launch and shift really soft just to get a slip.

I fixed mine with square tubing of the proper dimensions and it works great. It's way more rigid than it was before, and that **** won't rust out for 40 years. Probably way less work than replacing the whole support too.

Is there a site or write up you used to do yours? Is it just cut the old piece out and weld the new peice in?

Same thing I did pretty much. I just cut it out where it starts arching on the sides, got thick square tubing, slide it on the inside of the existing support, welded it in, made some braces to spread out the load, welded the lower radiator brackets on, cut holes for the condenser, POR15, all done Pics..

Yeah reving to 7k in 4th and 5th gear @ 8psi = rattle can

One cool thing is before it popped I gain 32mph between the 1/8 to the 1/4 mile

And I found a dek today with 77k miles but I may just call it quits and partout the car, finish my V8 S10, G35 and buy a winter/tow vehicle

I wish I had the chance to have multiple projects, specially a v8 s10 (always been a fan of those), but really sucks to hear this man. This is one reason why I have built my car to be a low revving car even with my built motor, high rpms always put stress on lots of parts. Did you make it to the end of the 1/4 at WOT? or you let off?, in other words, what were your times?

Naw, 14.0 @ 107

I won't be reving to 72k with the next motor if there is a next motor, weeeeell maybe not all the time

This motor didn't owe me anything, I've been beating it for 2years with a extended rev limiter, nitrous and boost

I launched at around 1200, granny shifted on my 18inch rims and street tires due to my cross member only being connected by the rear two bolts with a blazing 2.3 60ft

One good thing is I was able to drive the car 65miles back home from the track
