This morning I started on the uim and removed the power rod and that big azz thing on the side. I never liked the way that thing looked and with the rod removed won't need it so I made a 1/4inch thick blockoff plate and gasket.

Looks much better now,

I think he's doing the DEK.
He was contemplating doing the hybrid though.

Update:

I am parting out the maxima as it is still not running and this is the only car I can drive in the snow. Trying to mod three cars, make car payments, insurance and buy another house is just too much right now. Pretty everything is up for grabs minus the turbo, WG, BOV and injectors as I do not plan to mod another maxima and going to boost my G35c and get something thats good on gas for a DD.

I be making a thread soon

well got a email from masterpower that all the metal from my main and rod bearing landed in the turbo so it will need a rebuild. I am still waiting to see if they will fix it under warranty, I doubt it though.

Either way I am going to order a inline oil filter so this does not happen again

Small Update:

MasterPower will not fix the turbo under warranty so I bought a hx35. The car I was going to buy didn't have abs and the owner backed out. The setup I was making was for the mastpower turbo and a non-abs car neither which I have now so I sold the setup.

I am making a new setup for the holset and a car with abs. I'll be making a new build thread soon

8blade, I think it's a 16cm

the housing isn't that big and it has 16 stamp near the flange but 19m58 on the top of the exhaust housing. either way I am going to sell it and either get a bep housing or a 18cm h1c non gated housing.

I got the .70AR Bullseye and love it. 18cm is rather large, I had it before and its very laggy. How much power are you expecting to make out of the hx35?

Curious so see what kind of power that 35 gives you. I personally dont think it can yield 400 but 330 is very doable.

Well, we may never find out now as I got bored and took a stab at rebuilding my masterpower turbo and it seems to be fine. I am going to install it on a local members car to confirm. If all goes well the holset is history
