Naw, I am still using the stock 3.5 injectors with a aeromotive fpr and walbro 255. I am going use a vafc2 and raise the fuel psi to around 50psi wot and tune the car for 300-320hp.

I already have a jwt ecu tuned for 550cc injectors but can't install it till I get some injectors so I'll just ride like this till I get paid

I may push it alittle harder to see how fast it will spool in 2nd and 3rd but won't take the car over 4k till I install the wb02

ok so I can hear it start to spool at 4k in 1st and depending on the amount of throttle I can make it spool around 25k in 2nd and 3rd

Nice man, glad its finally up and running, I really suggest you stay completely out of boost man. Dosnt matter how low in RPM your keeping it, you dont know where your a/f is at, and you can knock alot even at 3k, SPECIALLY at part throttle where we have the most timing. Have fun once you got the WB hooked up, not worth risk.

Sounds good about the spool up, thats not bad at all man. i forgot what A/R you finally went with? I got a ~1.00A/R now on my hx40 and man it takes for ever, get full boost at late late 4k basically 5k in high gear, but in 1st and 2nd, I dont think it even gets the full 15psi.

cool thanks for the tip, I have another car to drive till I get a wb02 and tune the car. As for the A/R I went with a .68 it may sound weird but maybe I have went with a T64 or a .74 A/R so the car would have spooled around 3-35k intead of 25-3k. I wanted the car to hit full boost around the same time or alittle after peak tq.

What exhaust housing inlet did you go with? If u went with a t3 inlet I have a .81 a/r inlet... Lmk...

And bro earlier spool will pay off if it carries all the way to redline, you'll be good... Dont have to worry about pulling the hondas back in, ull keep up then stretch em'

I am cool with the a/r but thanks plus I have a T4 flange. Plus turbo power comes in so much smoother than nitrous I should be fine also this turbo should much power till around 6800rpms maybe 7K with the cutout open.

faster spool could run you out of steam up top. my 60-1 would spool fast as **** but up top around 6k it choked bad. So down low the car pulled hard but up top it would slow down.

here are a few pic's from another org member placed his turbo low and did not move the battery. The told me that all he did put some of that heat reflective tape stuff on the battery tray and around the battery and the heat did no bother it. Also to remove the pump he had to move the turbo up about 2inches and has never had any oil drainage problems

wow that was a long time agao, back then I had a 3.0l with a mevi and a jwt ecm, now I have a 2008 3.5l from a max, with the same jwt ecm with 410cc injectors and I have a safc neo, I plan on going with a stand alone soon but for now it works.. I reacently changed my intercooler and pipes went to a bigger one but before that with the 3.5l I dynoed 369tq and 350hp.. it works ok but I should of just moved the battery I just am not a fan of that.. I like to do things different but I do see that you made simular ft mount mods and I also modified my cross member the one that shows the completed setup is now all different as well as my pipes in and out of the turbo were too small.. now I have 2.5in in and out and then the out goes to 3in.. any questions just pm me.. what jwt program do you have? z32maf?

I just read your post about the fuel injectors.. you can use ford fuel injectors as long as they are high impedence the fit the 3.5l rail perfectly you just need to get some longer bolts and more spacers that is what i did I got mine from a 2003 ford mustang supercharged they flow at 39lbs that is about 410cc and where the fuel rail bolts down there are the little plastic discs well on each of the bolt places I used 3 discs vs 1 that is stock..

Ok so it finally stopped raining so I hooked up the wbo2 and took the car out for a spin. I set the fuel psi to 50psi at wot and to raise at a 1-1 rate while in boost. I tuned for part throttle 1st since thats where I spent most of my time and will wot tuning this weekend.

I was able to make some part throttle pulls to redline and the turbo gets really loud above 5k, I can barely heard the exhaust loud. From 3000-4500 the car is still very rich and I am going to turn down fuel psi down 1-2 psi to help lean out the mid range and retune the topend then start on the wot tuning.

Will take a pic of the dp this weekend and maybe a vid

Well went back out tonight and tune the car somemore and looks like my 5.7lb spring maxed out the stock injectors. I lowered the fuel psi to 48 at wot and it helped with the part throttle midrange but it's still alittle rich but I can not lower it anymore cause the vafc2 is maxed out at 50 correction from 4900rpms to redline at wot. Even then at wot the a/f is around 11.3-11.5 from 4-5k then starts to creep up and from 56k to redline around 12.0-12.1

I got to do some 3, 4 and 5th gear pulls at part and wot on both hills and level ground and while in boost never went over 12.5. I wastegate opens around 4-45k in 2nd gear and pulls hard to redline, can't wait to get some 550cc injectors and put in a 8.7lb spring which is where it will stay. I am going stay away from a boost controller since it may cause me to get into trouble

Well I was asked to make another feedpipe and choose to copy Hal's old setup. Not sure if the owner wants anyone to know so I'll let him make his own thread but here are some pic's. I really like how the merge turned out and wish mine were like this but with the turbo in the same location.
