EU questions... Please step in

Ok I have some questions for you guys on the EU.

Setup on fuel

RC440cc injectors
Z32 MAF
Walbro 255lph hp
Stock FPR
Greddy boost sensor

1. How does the EU qork in closed loop conditions? For example, my car runs rich at start up and has a hard time starting checked all my vac lines etc and the only thing I came up with is the injectors are dmpling fuel. The fuel pressure is stock. Where did you pull fuel fuel. Which map.

2. Advance timing. My knock sensor is out and I know it went out when I runing smaller injectors, how safe is it to advance timing with a bad knock sensor. i have a new one but Im running out of time moving this week to Canada. *** me!!

3. Can someone shed some light on what their maps look like. What maps are you using for tuning? What are your values for tuning x and y axis? not the actual tune but how many rpms spaced out at max 6500rmps.

If you have any insight about the EU please share. doesnt have to be specific to these questions but anything at all. There really isnt alot on the EU except for dandymaxs write-up and a couple of threads here and there. And nothing exsists for the boosted maximas on EU that I coulod really find that explains bigger injectors etc etc..

ok, i almost have your same exact setup, except i have an afpr, because i could barely drive my car on stock pressure. so ive lowered my pressure, and pulled fuel at 900 rpms. just go into a datalog, find out where you idle, and pull a little fuel at a time at that rpm until you get desired results. or you can try scaling the injectors, but it has never worked for me. so i always have resorted to messing with pressure and pulling fuel. i'd tell you what my maps look like but so far ive only tuned via throttle position %, and thats not really the best way to do so they say. as far as rpm, i have my 900 rpm level for idle, and then it jumps to about 2k where i normally cruise around town, then up to 3k rpms, and on.

But how does the car react in closed loop operations? Thats what I am having an issue with. It seems as though the ECU reverts back to closed loop operation.

Did you scale the injectors in the EU? I had to do about 100cc of scaling in the I/J tab.

The car would seem to run rich and I am using % for scaling. I know dandymax is using injector duty cycle. I scaled them back at -35% in the I/J adjusment map but there is also an individual injector adjustment map that I did not touch.. and same issue rich at startup.

hes talking about scaling them: before and after cc and lag time. this is done in the parameters

try 370 and 440

likely it will be too much, so you will just have to play with the numbers until the idle afr is close to 14.7

Do you have a Consult cable? If so you can I believe gauge AFR SF or Injector SF something like that and it tells you the ECU corrections for fuel, you want it to be at 100 so it is not adding or subtracting fuel, that means the car will run way better under closed loop conditions.

Thank you I will try that as soon as I get a chance. I do not have a consult cable. So that method I wont be able to see what the ECU is doing. I will play with that for a while until I get the AFR to be about 14.7..
