Bridgestone 950s, experience

Put a set of Bridgstone Potenza 950s on 97 I30 a few weeks ago. Great dry tire, exceptional wet tire, very quiet - like riding on glass. I have had quality tires before, Michelin MXVs, Dunlop SP5000s, Dunlop D60 A2s and Goodyear Gatorbacks but these 950s are the best I've used so far. Read comments about 950 being noisey but they changed tread pattern and milage warranty went from 40K to 45K and the noise is no longer an issue. Just wanted to thank everyone for your input. Yes I got them at COSTCO and got an additional $60 off. Cost $85 each on the car and out the door. IMO Michelin MXV needs to have an update quite badly! Everyone has caught up to them.

I have the older 40k ones, and they went bald on me around 30k, but I think some tough driving and some miss alignment led to this early fall, but I got some new ones coming tomorrow, cant wait to see how much quiter they are!

205 65 15. Tire Rack's price was $78 plus shipping and installation. The $85 included new tire valves, mounting, lifetime balance and rotation, road hazard warranty and 45k milage warranty from Bridgestone. COSTCO uses current selling price not MSRP when doing warranty milage adjustment. Hard deal to beat IMO!

I got 950s in 215/60-15 not long after they came out (May 2001). I got 40k miles of very hard driving out of them. Mine did get faily noisy for the last 10k miles or so.

Glad you like them.

Will be getting the 950's soon for my Max. The Coopers on them now are killing me. Good to know Costco carries them since one recently opened in my area. I hope they carry them their. Will be going from 215/55-16 to 225/55-16.
