*Will this rim/tire combo be a problem???...*
I plan on purchasing the following("maybe"):
-18x8.5 rims
-5x114.3 bolt pattern
-35mm offset
-225/40/18 tires
I just wanted to know if I will run into problems running this kind of wheel/tire combo on my car. (ex: rubbing against the fenders etc.) Any help will be appreciated.
*NOTE: My car is currently lowered on KYB AGX's/PROGRESS Sport Springs on stock rims/tires.*

2k2nyc/asu174,Thanks for the info. So I should have no problems whatsoever with this tire/wheel combo on my car??? BTW,Yeah I know the 225/40/18 tires sidewall etc.is skinny. But the person selling them already has that size mounted on the rims
But I do plan on upgrading the tires to 245/40 or 235/40 if I do purchase this tire/wheel combo from him.

-45mm offset
-235/40/18 tires

Nakayama 6 Speeds,The only avaiable size in 18's is 18x7.5 with a 45mm offset. So this would not pose a problem even with my car being lowered???
No, no problem at all. Those wheels are nice, good choice. If you look at the rear wheel, you can see what I mean by tucked, it sits far in from the body, but you can always add some H&R spacers if you want it to be flush with the fender.

235/40 fits fine, but it does have a small sidewall. You should go with 235/45. Your speedo is gonna be off by 1.8% (ex. you'll be driving at 61 mph when your speedo reads 60). Im currently running 245/45/18 and my speedo is off by 3.2%, its does not bother me at all. The 245/40 series tire is not in spec for a 7.5 width, if you do want a 245 tire, then you'll have to go w/ 245/45 like me. The sidewall is about 1/10th of an inch less than stock. I didn't want to go any lower b/c the streets in NY blow. I say go with the 235/45, thats the profile the new 5 series BMWs have; you'll have a nice profile + some comfort. so the smaller the offset the less the wheel will be tucked in from the body? is that correct. i was looking at a 38mm. the closer to 30, the more it will be flush with the body. i was looking at a 18x8.5 with the 38mm offset. will that be tucked. thanks
