Tire suggestions

Time has come for new tires on my 1997. The original tires are Toyo Proxes A05s, 16 inch. Price is a consideration. So is handling on snowy roads. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would suggest going to tire rack.com and using their selection tools. I have never actually bought anything from them, but I have found their surveys and reviews to be pretty accurate.

Contiextreme's

I just bought a set of Contiextremecontact's from tirerack but I haven't put them on yet. They get a great review and are cheaper than KDWS. I have the KDWS' now and they are okay. Them make the car squirm a little though on highways. Handle good in the corners.
I also suggest looking at tirerack. Good luck.
If you are looking at the KDWS' check out Costco's (if you have one near you) they are cheaper overall with mounting and balancing.

my $0.02

I just broke in a set of Yokohama AVS dB S2's. They're very quiet and grip quite well for a high performance all-season tire. I'm happy with them. See the Tire Rack site about them.
