Ideas for Rims...

Has anyone seen the new chrome 18" rims that come on the Murano's? Our local dealership has a black one with them on it and it looks pretty good. My friend said the dealer had an extra set of them and I could trade out the stock 18's for those and just pay the difference. I told him I might do it, but I didn't know how it would look.

Well, he calls me this morning and tells me they just put the extra set on an '03 Altima, so I ran to work, grabbed the Canon D-30, and proceeded to take some pics. Take a look here and give some opinion's on these rims. If someone wants to photoshop them onto a Max, go ahead. I've had enough fun for one day Photoshopping that Altima...

Yes, I've seen the Murano w/ chrome rims. Actually I drove a black one 2 weeks ago and almost bought it....IMO, those rims made it one of the best looking "off the lot" vehicals on the road.

I'm sure they would look great on a Max!

I'm not sure I like all the chrome. I guess it would depend on the price but I probably wouldn't do it myself. Just my opinion to a fellow Maxima owner

Not sure how much the difference is, but another one of the salesmen I know up there is getting a set for his black '04 Max. He said he would let me know how much it is. I might just go with 20's or something else though, I have a feeling it will be more than I willing to pay for just 18" chrome rims.

I guess I'm more partial to the racing type rims. I really like the rims on the first picture listed on the "Photoshop" thread. What do you think about those?

Yea, I think those would look really good in person. Looks like the pic of the rims wasn't very good quality, but I do like racing types of rims. I kind of like all kinds of rims, kind of hard to say what kind I'd like on the Maxima, just have to see them on it first.

Just a thought, going from 18" to 20" wheels would do what to the 40' turning radius ??

i'm not too thrilled about the chrome, going from 18 inch to 20 inch rims wont really affect the turning radius too much cause the over diameter of the rim+tire will remain the same

I would really love to get ahold of a set of the 18" rims from the track version of the 350Z. Those rims are so sweet. You can actually get them on e-bay for about $1200.00 with tires. Nissan want's $4100.00 for rims only!!! I think they would look great on the Maxima.

You read my mind partna, only problem is that the rear wheels are wider, I think like fronts are 18x8 and rears are 18x8.5 so you would have to find someone selling all fronts. good luck on that! Im really wanting to keep a stock look as to not atract any extra attention but these stocks are to heavy.

You're right, the rears are 1/2" bigger but I wonder if it would still look OK. Maybe we can get someone to photoshop it?

I think it would look bad***. Or at least make it look like a RWD car, that would be cool

I know cold day in hell, but awesome rims:
Volk Racing Limited Edition CE28 (bronze,Titanium)
Volk Racing Limited Edition TE37

Chromed out ghetto world:
O.Z. Antares 19 x 8

Also: SSR GT3

The 6th gen looks big, I could be wrong but i think BIG 19's look right visually. especially on the rear end of the car from the side.

their are just to many rims. I just ordered me some today ! but im still crying over the volk te 37's in bronze, i just didnt have the change

good luck and great car .. i saw the picture somewhere on here with the 6th gen grill taken off and it had rims and tint, real nice ..

Yeah ive thought about taking the grill off but wandered what it would look like. i figured a solid black mesh grill insert would be nice.
