Recommendations, please...

My Michelin Pilot Sports (225/50 ZR17) have served me well, but are more than ready for retirement. I paid about $1,100.00 for this set-up and really need to save some clams this time around. I live down in Florida, so I have no concerns about snow ratings, but I do place an emphasis on cornering and wet traction. I would be extremely reluctant to go back to Potenzas, but, like I said, I don't really think I need to step up to the Pilot Sports again. Any recommendations &/or personal experiences are much appreciated. Thanks!

Not all potenzas are bad, just the RE92s.

For extreme cornering it's hard to compete with a Potenza SO-3, or for more treadwear a Potenza RE750. But your best bet is to compare them here:

What are your opinions on the Falkens that have recently been recommended on this forum?

Thanks. I'll research the others that were mentioned, but I'm happy with the 512's pricing.
