Falken ZE-512

Anyone who purchased the ZE-512s not happy with these tires? I am very close to ordering these tires. Would like the Pilot Sport A/S but too much money for my budget.

I picked up a set of 235/45/17s few weeks ago. So far so good.. A definite improvement over Potenzas.

I just installed my Falken ZE-512's today- messed up and got the 55 profile, 01 calls for the 225 50 17s. So far so good. A little smoother ride than 50's. Anything is better than the Craptenzas. I don't think you can go wrong for the price. You will get about 30k out of them. Still too early to tell for a full review but your making a great choice. FYI, discounttire.com did them 4 $105 a tire to NJ and I only ordered 2. Free UPS ground.

I actually had them on my Accord

215/50ZR17's. IMHO...

The tires are noisy and rides rough. The sidewalls are stiff and responds to steering input well. They have a 360 thread life but the fronts only lasted me 15,XXX miles (without rotation though, the rears still have about 60-70% life left). They aren't for snow, even the lightest so I switched over to more expensive Continental Contisport Contact. I do though, recommend the Falkens only if you live in places where it doesn't snow alot, otherwise be careful. They are a good price and provide grip in dry weather.

IMO go with the Turanza LSV, 225-50-17 I just put them on a few weeks ago and they are a great tire. Smooth, quiet, responsive enoungh for normal drivers and they perfomed excellent in the two snow falls so far.

FYI Falken's do not have any road hazzard. If they do not stand by thier product, why should you.

BY the way a buddy of mine had two of his four Falkens blister up on him within 6k, had to battle, got a refund for the four, and went with the Turanzas as well and he is very happy. He said they are much quieter than the falkens as well

Good luck

The reviews I read said the Falkens were soft and quiet. Real good stick to them but they have very soft sidewalls. Most complained that steering response was not as good as they liked but overall a very good tire for everyday driving.

Yeah what i dont like about them is that they are not very stable when you go 110+, but if you don't drive at that speed often then I say buy them.

Compared to what I'm used to, I find them stiff and noisy... The car also is unstable in crosswinds, you can feel the back end shift in 15+mph winds on the highway.

512s are all season tires. NT450 are summer tires.
