Are mesh wheels a pain in the a$$ to clean?

Im lookin at a set of mesh wheels right now but im kinda lazy and dont clean my wheels as often as i should. I was lookin to get some that are easy to wipe down, do you have to detail these?

depends on how tight the mesh is. the only mesh wheels i've had were pretty loose (konig), but i think they got stolen before i got to clean them much.

Yes, they are a ***** to clean. Your best bet is using a towel to clean them. More on this at autopia forum. Good luck.

Yes, mesh wheels are a massive pain to clean, which is why I'm going with clean 5 spokes soon, which are arguably the easiest design to clean.

If you don't clean off the brake dust on a regular basis you will destroy the finish. The longer you let it sit, the worse.
