Nittos are pretty good. Little noisy, pretty sticky when warmed up, good tread life. Wet traction could be better though

245/35ZR19 in back WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT?! yokohama nitto falken pirelli anything else = below hankook in my book. ha but then again hankook is the only tires i've had and i'm satisfied. Man now i bet i'm gonna get flamed for hatin on the other tires when i havent even used em.

I just ditched my OE Potenzas last Thursday and replaced them with Dunlop SP Sport FM901's in 245/45/17. Beautiful. I love them. They have the aggressive look I was going for, and they were an awesome price, and the car doesnt ride any worse or louder than the stock tires (not that I have noticed anyways).

Yes. I researched it a great deal before finally doing so, so it was not an unplanned or unthought deal. Its just that there is like zippo selection of sporty tires in the OE size. This was the closest to OE I could go, and the selection is so much better. I almost went 235/45 but decided against that as i didnt want to exaggerate the wheel gap, and defintely did not want to accrue more mileage. But they actually look pretty decent, and no real tire bulge to speak of.

Goodyear American Eagle 225/50/16's on oe 5 spokes. Very nice tires, they seem to catch the road when wet... really weird. Somethings probably wrong with my car, not the tires but oh well.

Just had a set of Toyo Proxes 4 (235/45R17) put on 02-03 SE wheels today. The tires have very good combination of grip, comfort, and low road noise. My previous tires were Big-O brand cheapies that were absolute junk, so any reputable tire would've been an improvement. Regardless, I made my decision to go with the Toyo's because of the good feedback from most of the folks on the .org, and so far am pretty happy with the decision.

Currently riding Pirelli Pzero Nero 235/45/17's at the moment. Switching to 18's and getting the Goodyear Eagle F1 DS-G3 245/40/18.

I was wondering i got 19 millies with 235 35 i wanted to get either 245 35 or
245 40 Will it ride better or not ???????i have S techs and with my 17 setup it was fine and plus there is a gap with the 19 VS my 225 50 17

I put on a set of Yokohama Avid Tourings back in April on my stock 98 GXE wheels. They seem to be a laid-back version of the H4s. I have them pumped up to about 45 psi. They are absolutely silent and track well but, in the rain, they break loose with moderate throttle . They also like to break loose on sharp turns on dry roads, but I didn't get them for their handling abilities. Look forward to seeing how they hold up in the snow

Why on earth are you riding with 45 psi???? 35 is optimal for most cars, and for our's 33 front 32 rear. At 45 psi you're going to wear the middle of each tire much faster than the outer.

32 to 34 is sufficient. Check your manual. Like the man says you are going to wear the middle of the tire out first.

You must feel this in the ride???

45 is way high... I feel bad about running 36F/34R sometimes. You are most likely at the max tire pressure for your tire and that is not that good either.

Alright keep an eye on that center tread and make sure it doesnt wear quicker than the rest. I would suggest you maybe either get a tread depth gauge or use the coin method to check the depths inside outside and in the middle of the treads. Of both options I would recommend the tread depth gauge.

Are you talking about the Yokohama Avid TRZ standard all-season tires? Your stock tire size is 215/60R/15.

I just bought the Avid H4S a week ago for my 95SE which still has the OEM 15" sawblades. Recommended OEM tire pressure is 33F/32R.

The tire shop recommended I run the new H4S at 35 all the way around. I had been inflating my OEM tires to about that level over the last few months in the interests of increased tread life and fuel economy.

At 40PSI you are still too high, drop the tire pressure to 35 or maybe 36 or you will shorten the life span of the tires. 2 or 3 lbs. above the PSI shown on the console lid is sufficient.

IIRC 95's and 98's had different stock tire sizes. Anyways no problem man just don't want you to waste money on tires too early when you cuold have used them alot longer.

I'm on 225/45 18 Avon M550s. Very good all-season tire, great in wet/dry, very quiet at highway speeds, a little noisy as you come to stop. About 7-8 K on them so far and no sign of tread wear. Getting ready to put them up for the winter (mounted on 18X8 HP racing R5's) and pulling out the AE 17" stockies with Falken 512s. Falken's are also good tire for money, but a little sloppy in the curves (soft sidewall). A little noisy as well, but good in rain/snow, ride comfortably, and dirt cheap.

245x40x18 on the 18x8 G35c Rims

My winter setup is going to be ContiWinterContact TS790 V
225x50x17 on my Stock Polished titanium 17's

I feel bad putting winter shoes on my special edition rims, but what can you do?
The continentals are V-Rated so they should provide the means to have some fun.

I put some new tires on the other day and I am very happy with them so far.

Kelly/Springfield Evo-Z in size 225/45/17. Tires are Z rated, AA traction, temp A treadwear 420. Exactly the same tire as the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D2, except with a higher treadwear rating. Goodyear owns K/S and they are made in the same USA factory and everything.

They are considerably better than the Toyo Proxes FZ4 I had before, which I liked.

The verdict is still out on longevity and wet traction on the Evo-Zs, however.

Kumho HP4 716s on stock sawblades (205/65-15). Cheap and got good reviews at Tire Rack. Pretty quiet, grip is average, cushy ride - what you'd want from a non-performance tire. I don't see this size at Tire Rack anymore BTW.

Anyhow, these tires have been great! Performance is astounding! Treadwear is eh, keep lots a pressure in them or they will wear the sidewall, but 40+ is superb. Gorgeous handling. Paired with my eibachs and toxicos this setup is amazing.

The only other tire i would consider would be the Goodyear Eagle f1

BUT, they cost a "bit" more than the yokos.. GREAT VALUE!!!
